These surveys were taken back when the Internet was young and the primary means of electronic communication was through e-mail and USENET newsgroups. Since the explosive growth of the World Wide Web, many more extensive and similar survey have been made available and have become popular. I pass the "Bext Music of the Year" torch to these newer and more comprehensive surveys.
I continue to maintain these pages simply as a reference. The historian and librarian in me makes me think that someone, somewhere, might be interested in the results of these early Internet Polls.
